Unlike the Mistral, the Axel features a sealed bottom sole for extra support and our extremely popular leather topped insole made from the perfect mixture of EVA and rubber, that is the signature of Hey Dude comfort.

Quick-drying and stretchable double-mesh sock upper features a soft and flexible Thermoplastic Polyurethane wrap-around support cage and slingshot elastic heel wrap to provide a perfect fit for your whole foot, and allowing for high performance and durability.

Ultra-light outsole with sticky rubber toe and heel pads to prevent slippage and protect against abrasion.
Fine screen alloy foot bed and poly mesh bottom are designed to keep grit out and allow water to escape freely.
Perforated, anatomic, poly mesh insole is quick drying without sacrificing heel and arch support
Nylon lining is soft and quick drying for bare feet
Round nylon laces resist water absorption, stretching, and offer less pulling resistance than flat laces
